In order to facilitate transformation of scientific and technological innovations at colleges and universities, inspire college youth teachers and college students to innovate, cultivate and select innovative talent for effective connection between innovations and society, promote exchanges between universities and companies and fuel the innovation-driven development of the capital, BAST held a university S&T innovations exhibition and presentation in collaboration with the Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, CYL Municipal Committee, Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, Municipal Bureau of Intellectual Property and Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce. 

The 10th University S&T Innovations Exhibition and Presentation, since its launch in April, has received attention and support of colleges and universities in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, which contributed 1095 innovation entries from 50 universities, including 78 patented works, 204 science and technology innovations, 208 entrepreneurship plans, 317 cultural and creative works, 171 outstanding papers and 117 teacher projects. After the preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation, 102 entries from 31 universities were selected as award-winning works, including 11 entries winning the first prize and “innovation gold award”, 33 entries winning the second prize and 58 entries winning the third prize.  

On December 21, an awards ceremony was held in Beijing for the 10th University S&T Innovations Exhibition and Presentation, where 4 S&T innovation entries were presented and 6 “first prize-winning” entries were signed up. The event took place primarily online, with online sub-venues set up at Beihang University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Beijing University of Agriculture and Beijing Polytechnic, attracting over 0.30 million online viewers. The event included a permanent online S&T innovation project showroom to further precise connection between companies and university brainchild.
