Fang Li pointed out that after the reforms of public institutions, BIT Secretariat’s staff was transferred to the payroll of BAST Information and Artificial Intelligence Technology Research Institute, and that Beijing Academy of Science and Technology, as a supporter of learned societies, will focus on driving the construction of S&T innovation ecosystem in Beijing, supporting and guiding societies to make new progress in talent pooling services, first-class journals, high-end think tanks, branding events and external exchanges. BIE will support societies to leverage their technical expertise and make innovative exploratory efforts surrounding the central task and priorities of BAST, become one of the platforms for deep strategic cooperation between Beijing Academy of Science and Technology and BAST, and promote both sides to jointly serve the construction of Beijing as an international sci-tech innovation center.
