In order to promote the development of Beijing as an international center for technological innovation, continue to optimize the business environment and vigorously attract talents urgently needed for the development of the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Further Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, according to the Notice of Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Beijing Municipal Talent Work Bureau (Jing Ren She Shi Ye Fa [2021] No. 33) on Issuing the Catalog of Recognized Professional Qualifications in the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Further Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (First Edition) (hereinafter referred to as the "Catalog") the following facilitated services are provided for foreigners holding overseas professional qualifications and apply for work permits in Beijing Municipality:

I. Relax restrictions on educational background and working experiences. Inquiry and Verification Result of Overseas Professional Qualification Certificates is recognized to serve as proof of the highest educational level (academic degree) and working experience. (For details of the inquiry and verification flow, please refer to the attached Catalog) (Note: relevant supporting materials shall be provided if two years' working experience or other conditions are required as specified in the "Remarks" column of the Catalog.)

II. Extend age limit to 65 years old, or even 70 years old for high-end, precision, and sophisticated industries.

III. High-end foreign talents (Class A) can apply for work permits aligned with the period of the contract and valid for no more than five years. Professional foreign talents (Class B) can apply for work permits aligned with the period of the contract and valid for no more than three years. Extensions of work permits shall be valid for no more than five years.

Beijing Overseas Talents Center will conduct regular supervision and inspection for foreign talent introduction and their work permissions in applicant units, according to the guidelines of Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and Beijing Municipal Talent Work Bureau.
