The World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), in collaboration with the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government will organize the Global Engineering Congress and the WFEO General Assembly in Shanghai from 12-17 October 2025.

The main theme will be “Engineering shapes a green future”

Engineering, as an important force for social progress and economic development, is capable of effectively promoting green transformation and achieve sustainable development through the innovative engineering concepts and technologies.

The green transition faces many challenges and presents great opportunities meanwhile, so engineering plays a crucial role in addressing the challenges and penetrating the opportunities.
