From September 16th to 24th, the main event of 2023 National Science Popularization Day, co-sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, the People's Government of Beijing Municipal and 20 national ministries and commissions, is held in Shougang Park, Beijing.

Under the theme of "Enhancing Scientific Literacy for All, Empowering Technological Self-Reliance," the event showcases the abundant achievements and vivid practices in science popularization since the new era. It provides the public, especially the youth, with engaging and entertaining scientific and cultural experiences, fostering a sense of pride in the progress of China's science and technology undertakings and building confidence in achieving high-level self-reliance.

The main event consists of five parts: "Leading the Way to Brilliance" "Confidently Building a Strong Nation" " Benefiting People's Livelihoods with Science and Technology" "Science Popularization Carnival" and "Strengthening Science Education". More than 20 specialized zones are set up, including "Manufacturing Power by Intelligence" "Lunar Exploration Program" "Science and Technology for People's Livelihoods" "Intelligent Transportation" and "Science Popularization of Emergency". Over 360 exhibits and activities from 104 units across the country are showcased.
