Keynote Speeches of 2023 Beijing International Week for Science Literacy Held in Beijing

On September 17th, the keynote speeches of 2023 Beijing International Week for Science Literacy was held in Beijing. In the keynote session, representatives from different fields in Canada, China and Italy made keynote speeches on digital literacy and the future of education. Ren Fujun, professor of University of Science and Technology Beijing, presided over the keynote forum.

Bernard Schiele, professor of Communication at University of Quebec, gave a speech titled The Need for a Digital Literacy for All in the 21st Century. “People and science are integrated with each other, and science is continuing to develop as an important means of communication and will affect the structure of the entire society,” he said.

Su Zhong, director of Technology Strategy Research of Alibaba Cloud, gave a report on AI +, the 3rd Wave of Digitalization, and manifested the charm and broad prospects of digital technology.

Liu Liang, dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, shared theories and good practices in cultivating information talents. The Chief Curator of Brera Art Gallery (Milan, Italy) and the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense gave a keynote report titled Preparing for the Metaverse and Exploring Digital Literacy Tools for Thirty Years.
