From September 16th to 24th, 2023 Beijing International Week for Science Literacy is taking place at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District, Beijing. As part of the nine-day event, Beijing International Science Museum Directors Dialogue is being held.

Representatives from nearly 20 domestic and international science and technology museums, and related institutions gathered in Beijing.

The participants have discussed the development of science and technology museums in the digital era. Following the concept of " Global Vision, International Standards, and Future-oriented Goals", the dialogue continues the theme of "Working Together for Common Development”. The inter-museum signing ceremony was held to promote the innovative development of diversified science education.

Beijing International Science Museum Directors Dialogue has been held for two sessions, sponsored by Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST), and undertaken by Beijing Science Center and Beijing International Science and Technology Exchange Center.

The organizers of the conference believe that multidimensional cooperation platforms should be established through the collective efforts of participants from all over the world, and such platforms would help achieve the digital transformation of science and technology museums, and promote high-quality development of science popularization.
