The award ceremony and technology forum for the 8th "Zhixin Cup" National AI Robotics Innovation Competition took place on the morning of August 20, 2025, at Wangjing Science and Technology Park in Beijing's Chaoyang District.

Hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) with support from the Beijing International Science and Technology Exchange Center (BISTEC) and other organizations, the event served as a flagship platform for CAAI, gathering academicians, experts, representatives from education and industry, and outstanding young technology talents from across China.

The event opened with remarks by leading scholars. CAS Academician Zhang Bo, Honorary Director of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Tsinghua University, delivered a keynote address outlining the prospects and directions of AI applications in education.

Professor Peng Kaiping, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Chair of the Department of Psychology at Tsinghua University, explored the integration of AI and human well-being through the lens of "intelligent happiness science." He traced educational needs across three eras, from manual skills in the industrial age to intellectual capabilities in the information age to what he termed "heart-engaging" abilities in today's AI era, and advocated for education that nurtures uniquely human qualities like aesthetics, moral sense, and empathy that AI cannot replicate.

Following the speeches, the event honored outstanding teams and individuals from this year's competition, presenting special, first, second, and third prizes. The Beijing Ruida Robotics Competition Club team claimed the special prize, while first prizes went to teams from Beijing Guangming Primary School, Beijing No. 19 Middle School, Zhongguancun No. 3 Primary School, and Dengshikou Primary School. Academician Zhang Bo, Professor Peng Kaiping, and other experts presented the awards, with one remarking, "In these young people, I see the hope for China's AI future."

The program continued with a roundtable discussion centered on the bidirectional empowerment and development through the Integration of AI and psychology, where experts explored innovative pathways for AI advancement through interdisciplinary perspectives.

Over the years, the "Zhixin Cup" has grown into a vital platform that integrates basic research, technological breakthroughs, industrial transformation, and international exchange. This forum not only showcased AI innovations but also fostered new opportunities for collaboration among industry, academia, and research sectors.

As a supporting organization, BISTEC facilitated this exchange within the framework of the Beijing Association for Science and Technology’s (BAST) International Science and Technology Liaison Program. Looking ahead, the Center will build on this foundation to amplify exchanges, accelerate technology transfer, and foster an open, innovative AI ecosystem.
