The 2025 "Scientific Circle" youth science education outdoor exhibition, a key component of the National Science Popularization Month, successfully concluded in Beijing after a ten-day run from September 12 to 21. Themed "Rooted in Science Education, Inspiring Scientific Dreams," the event attracted tens of thousands of young people, parents, and educators, delivering impactful results in theoretical exchange, hands-on practice, and safety education.

Held at the Beijing Science Center, the exhibition's core area was structured around three key pillars: fostering a competitive spirit, showcasing master teachers, and illustrating educational pathways. This structure provided a holistic science education experience for all age groups, with renowned competitions like the Beijing Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest offering young visitors a direct taste of scientific discovery.

A major draw was the social collaboration zone, which featured cross-sector partnerships with over 40 technology firms, research institutions, academic societies, and museums. This area featured a frontier technology section with interactive smart products and virtual reality, a cultural exhibition that blended science with humanities through displays on bee ecology and traditional woodworking, and a life science section that framed daily issues like health and the environment through a scientific lens.

The safety education zone, a standout favorite among families, was dubbed the event's "safety guardian." It used distinct red, yellow, and green areas to cover life safety, natural disaster response, and everyday protective measures. Through immersive simulations and practical exercises, it effectively translated abstract knowledge into real-world skills.

The exhibition also offered fresh perspectives for educators and parents. One science teacher praised the hands-on activities for complementing school curricula, noting that the emergency drills provided a practical application that classrooms often lack. Parents reported a noticeable spark in their children's curiosity, with many beginning to ask probing questions and build a foundation for scientific inquiry.

While the ten-day exhibition has ended, its impact lingers. The Beijing Science Center is committed to deepening collaborations with all partners to help more scientific dreams take root among the youth, further energizing the capital's high-quality science education landscape.
