The day began with a tour of China's first Headquarters of the International Science and Technology Organizations and the "Chaoxiaoke" AI Experience Center, offering a firsthand look at Beijing's innovation ecosystem. During the opening ceremony, representatives from the organizing units stressed international scientific cooperation and the unique role of youth in advancing shared progress and integrating science with culture.
During the sharing session, Wang Peng, Associate Researcher at Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, discussed his cross-cultural research experiences; Wu Wenjing, an expert from WGDO, explored how green design empowers youth in sustainable development; and Xie Yan, a representative of NESS International Science Network, outlined international initiatives for ecological protection.
The highlight of the event was a symbolic lighting ceremony, where participants pledged ecological responsibility through a creative "Tree of Science" installation. Cultural activities included calligraphy demonstrations by a national-level master and traditional tea tasting. Four international organizations provided career guidance and internship opportunities, while participants also experienced AI technologies firsthand.
As an important platform for Beijing's international exchange efforts, the salon demonstrated a youth-led model of international dialogue, contributing wisdom and energy to global sustainable development and cross-cultural exchange.
