Recently, China Investment Corporation (CIC), accompanied by sovereign wealth funds from Indonesia and Azerbaijan, conducted an investment inspection tour in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA, known as Beijing E-Town). The delegation visited Beijing E-Town Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "BEST"), Magic World AI New-Quality Industry Community, and Robot Mall to learn about the BDA's strengths in high-tech, sophisticated and cutting-edge industries and discuss future opportunities for ecological cooperation. Relevant officials from the Indonesia Investment Authority and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan attended the event.
The delegation's first stop was BEST, where members learned about its leading integrated circuit equipment, supporting process solutions and global business layout. BEST provides global semiconductor chip manufacturers with equipment and application solutions, including dry photoresist stripping, dry etching, rapid thermal processing and millisecond-level rapid annealing. Among these, dry photoresist stripping, rapid thermal processing and millisecond-level rapid annealing equipment rank among the world's top in their respective segmented markets. Its products have fully covered the world's top ten and China's leading chip manufacturers.
Subsequently, the delegation visited Magic World in the National Information Park, which served as a showcase for the BDA's strategies and achievements in building a highland for artificial intelligence application development. At present, seizing the opportunity of building the National Pilot Zone for AI Innovation and Application and the Beijing Pilot Zone for Data Infrastructure System, the BDA is accelerating the construction of a city of full-domain artificial intelligence, supported by its solid high-end industrial foundation, abundant scientific and technological innovation resources and targeted special policies.
Based on this, Magic World takes large models and data factors as dual engines, building an innovative and diversified industrial incubation and scenario application platform for enterprises' advanced development. It aims to build the first and largest AI new-quality community cluster in Beijing and nationwide.
Riding intelligent connected passenger vehicles, the delegation concluded its tour at Robot Mall, where they experienced up close the application progress of robots in medical, industrial, companion and other diversified scenarios. Through interactive experiences, the delegation gained intuitive exposure to star domestic robot products including Embodied Tien Kung 2.0, Unitree G1, Agibot X2 Ultra, Ubtech Walker S2, Booster T1, Galbot G1 and LimX Oli.
Through this visit, the delegation spoke highly of the BDA's achievements and planning in cutting-edge fields including integrated circuits, artificial intelligence and robotics, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation.
A relevant official from the Bureau of Business and Finance of the BDA stated that, as the main hub of high-tech, sophisticated and cutting-edge industries in the capital, the BDA will actively expand cooperation with CIC and top international investment institutions such as the sovereign wealth funds of Indonesia and Azerbaijan. It will continue to drive high-quality development through high-level opening-up and jointly write a new chapter of mutual benefit and win-win results.
